Sunday - Benvenuto!
Transport from Ancona-Falconara Airport or Jesi
train station to Coldigioco will be provided.
Settle in and rest before a welcome apperitivo and
tour of Coldigioco. Chef Mia will prepare a
sumptuous feast to welcome students.
Monday - Market Day
Visit open-air market in Cupramontana. Shop for
ingredients for lunch and learn how to select the
best produce. Before returning to Coldigioco for
lunch al fresco.
Visit local winemaker Zaccagnini and sample his
best. For dinner take a leisurely stroll in Castel Sant'Angelo
where we will dine at Babburè.
Tuesday - Cucina Rustica
Visit a working goat farm and artisan cheesemaker
Giaccomo. Learn the secrets of making traditional
cheeses. For lunch, Chef Mia and local pasta
expert, Itala, will teach how to make fresh
tagliatelle, which is rolled and cut by hand. For
dinner students will learn how to fire-up the
wood-burning oven and bake
crescia, the Marche's version of focaccia.
Wednesday - Piobbico and Urbino
Visit the medieval town of Piobbico to meet Tofani
our truffle-hunting amico and his dog Perla. Lunch
at Monte Nerone, a restaurant famous for its
classic truffle dishes, is the
highlight of the day. Time is available for
pottery shopping and sightseeing.
Thursday - Simple Pleasures
Spend a relaxing morning on the terrace.
Breakfast includes straight-from-the-oven breads,
cappuccino, and fresh fruit. Later, join the
informal lesson in the garden and collect seasonal
vegetables for our lunch workshop with Chef Mia.
In the evening, enjoy cooking class with local
restaurateur, Enzo.
Friday - Ancona and the Adriatic Riviera
Visit the fish market in the seaside town of
Ancona. Experience an unforgettable lunch at
Fortino Napoleonico tasting a custom seafood menu
selected by Chef Mia. Afterwards, return to
Coldigioco for a relaxed dinner of regional
favorites, and toast to new friends and a
wonderful week.
Saturday - Ciao a Tutti!
Farewells. Students will be transported to the
airport or the train station.
