Students will become part of the tiny village of Coldigioco for a week and live life as the Italians do. With Cucina con Mia, students will visit the Marche region's back roads and undiscovered villages, where each day will bring a new adventure.

All classes are in English or translated into English. Instruction will range from hands-on cooking and demonstrations by experts, to field trips where ingredients such as cheeses, olives, wines and breads are made from scratch. Students will learn authentic recipes and techniques that have been handed down from generation to generation.

Throughout the week students will also benefit from historical and cultural insights from our field trips and local residents. We will visit local restaurants that specialize in regional dishes to indulge your palate and introduce you to new food experiences. Recipes and dishes draw from the rich influences of both the Marche's sea and mountains. You'll taste wonderful delicacies such as truffles, prosciutto di Carpegna, fresh Pecorino and the tangy Ambra di Talamello cheeses, delicious fish from the Adriatic, and tasty Marchigiana beef just to name a few! Look forward to savoring the local wines such as Verdicchio, Rosso Conero, Rosso Piceno, and the unusual Vernaccia di Serrapetrona a sparkling dry red wine.

With a limit of 10 students per session, classes are small enough to accommodate cooks of all levels and are ideal for groups of family and friends. Additionally, this intimate journey offers flexibility in the schedule to allow plenty of time to relax, take walks in the countryside, and enjoy the experience at the Italian pace.
